DeKalb County Primary Election Results Released

The Primary Election results within DeKalb County were released late Tuesday night, and in the area of DeKalb County Commissioner in the Northeast District, which saw Todd Sanderson defeat Larry Dove for the Republican nomination with Sanderson receiving 2,463 votes to Dove's 2,219.

In the Souteast District, it was Mike Watson defeating fellow Republican Kevin Webb with Watson receiving 2,574 votes to Webb's 2,078.

The three winners for the DeKalb County Council At-Large Republican seats were Bob Krafft with 3,183 votes, Dave Yarde with 3,153 votes, and Amy Prosser with 2,977 votes. Thus leaving Marty Grimm out with 2,896 votes in what was a very close race.

And finally in the area of DeKalb County Recorder on the Republican side it was Leta Hullinger defeating Ryan Openlander with Hullinger winning 2,998 votes to Openlander's 1,555. The position of recorder is currently held by two-term recorder Katie Firestone, who cannot run for reelection due to term limits.
