Bryan Officials Hold Action on Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area
By: Sheila McCres - Tuesday, June 2, 2020

BRYAN, OH - After meeting Monday, the Bryan City Council is waiting for the chamber and county, before they address the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area.

Nicknamed the DORA program, city officials in Bryan are considering three potential plans for the proposal. According to The Bryan Times, before taking any action, council members want to know the county commissioners’ stance on the project. In addition, some members of council have to decide if they can ethically vote on the subject.

The DORA program is a proposal put forth by the Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce, which would allow patrons to purchase an official DORA cup at participating establishments. Patrons could drink an alcoholic beverage in public and carry it into other non-alcohol-serving establishments that specifically opt in to the program.
