Indiana Beach To Close For Good
Wednesday, February 19, 2020

A popular Indiana summertime fun spot has announced it will be closing its gates permanently.

After nearly a century, Indiana Beach is closing as the White County Economic Development Director Randy Mitchell told Indianapolis TV station WTHR, the park is closed and they don't have plans to reopen. The closure was apparently due to financial reasons after Apex Parks Group could not find a buyer.

Indiana Beach is an amusement park located along Lake Shafer in Monticello, Indiana. The Spackman family opened the park in 1926, and ownership of the complex changed several times over the years, and is currently owned by Apex Parks Group.
