HUDSON, IN – Two drivers were airlifted from an accident scene over the weekend, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department.
Emergency units were called to State Road 327 and County Road 750 South in Hudson on a report of a crash on Sunday. First responders on the scene found a Chevrolet Equinox and Chevrolet Cruze had collided.
Reports indicate that Anthony Maenle, age 27 of Butler, was eastbound on 750 South and reportedly ran the stop sign at 327. Maenle struck the Cruze driven by Katie Mockensturm, age 19 of Hudson.
Both Maenle and Mockensturm were airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were Steuben County EMS, Salem Fire Department, Indiana State Police, Steuben County Communications, and Parkview Samaritan.
