Tingley Taps In to Lead Hornet Wrestling Program

ANGOLA, IN - Russ Tingley has tapped in to lead the Angola Wrestling program. He was approved as the next Head Wrestling Coach at Angola High School at Tuesday’s school board meeting.

Tingley began his wrestling coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater Westerville South High School in Westerville, Ohio.  After four years of being an assistant, Russ was hired as the Head Coach at Westerville South.  He was the Head Coach at Westerville South for six years.  With the birth of his first son, Russ stepped down as the Head Coach to focus on family.  Russ then coached wrestling as an assistant for two years at Hilliard Davidson in Hilliard, Ohio. Following that, he was an assistant for two years at Olentangy High School in Lewis Center Ohio.  After moving to Angola in 2006, Russ has coached wrestling in a number of different positions at both the Angola Middle School and Angola High School.   Russ has also been an assistant football coach at Angola High School for the past eleven years. He has also coached Angola Middle School track and was a high school baseball assistant coach for Angola.  

Russ is a Special Education teacher at the High School in Angola.  Russ lives with his wife Christy in Angola and they have two sons Brock (19) and Grant (23).
