Angola and Eastside Cheerleaders Win First Place
Tuesday, July 23, 2019

Several cheerleading teams from the tri-state area competed Monday night at the Steuben County 4-H Fair’s cheer competition.

The competition was scheduled to take place in the grand stand arena, but organizers switched the location to the Steuben County Events Center due to muddy conditions in the show ring. Over 5 teams competed in several categories and individual completions.

Angola High School received first place in the Dance & Stunt category, while Fremont came in second place. Prairie Heights was third.

In the Game Day Cheer segment, Eastside was first, West Noble was second, and Prairie Height took third place.

Several area cheerleaders placed individually in the Group Stunts and Jumps category.

Organizers hope that more area cheer teams will compete next year.
