Prairie Heights High School Students Carver Teller and Denny Blakely were named state champions in the Skills USA category of Digital Cinema. The pair will represent Prairie Heights, Impact Institute, and the state of Indiana at the national competition in Louisville, Kentucky in June.
They were named state finalists after their project ranked in the top 5 at the regional competition in January. On April 9th they began their state contest entry at 8 a.m. when the prompt was given to them and had to submit the piece for judging by 5 p.m. on April 12th.
For the national competition the two will do a similar project with 48 hours to complete it.
