Indiana Statewide Tornado Test is Tuesday Morning

The Indiana Broadcasters Association and the National Weather Service will conduct a test of the state Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. that will include a Live Tornado Warning alert.

In addition, several local 911 Center's will be testing their Tornado Sirens on Tuesday, March 19 at 10:15 a.m. as part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week. Steuben, LaGrange, and DeKalb counties said they will be participating.

The test is part of Indiana Severe Weather Preparedness Week.

The 15-minute alert is done to ensure the system is working properly in the event of an actual tornado.

In the event of severe or inclement weather, the test will be rescheduled and held on the morning of Wednesday, March 20th.
