One of the parents of a Hicksville infant who died in 2016, due to an apparent lack of medical care has entered a plea in a Defiance County court room. Jared Stark pled guilty to reckless homicide and abuse of corpse.
Judge Joseph Schmenk ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Stark’s $125,000 bond was continued with a 10 percent allowance provision.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 12.
Prosecutors say back on Oct. 29, 2016, Jared Stark and the infant’s mother Sarah Stark, failed to get any medical attention to their newborn child, only hours after the boy was born at their residence.
