Dry weather is expected today behind a cold front passing through the region this morning.
The National Weather Service says the dry weather will persist into early Sunday, with just a low chance of a few showers and thunderstorms developing Sunday across northwest Indiana and southwest Lower Michigan. Chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase from west to east Sunday night into Monday across the remainder of the area.
Forecasters say heat and humidity will build for the 2nd half of the weekend.
