CENTREVILLE – Glen Oaks Community College has hired a new Athletic Director.

School officials say alumnus Mike Rasmussen has been hired as Athletic Director. He replaces Matt Brawley, who recently accepted the position of Athletic Director at Niles Schools. Rasmussen comes to Glen Oaks from Colon High School, where he was the Jr./Sr. High School Principal. Prior to that, he served as the Athletic Director at White Pigeon Community School. Rasmussen started his career as a teacher and coach at Greenville High School.

Rasmussen is a Glen Oaks graduate who was selected as the President’s Award recipient in 2001. While at Glen Oaks, he played baseball and was part of the team that was third in the NJCAA national tournament in 2000. A native of Schoolcraft, Rasmussen is a graduate of Western Michigan University where he earned both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in education. He started his new duties at Glen Oaks on August 2.
