Winter Storm Warning Includes Forecast of 7-10 Inches of Snow

A Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect until 10 a.m. (EST) Tuesday for portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio.

In addition to snow from from Sunday night, more heavy snow is expected. Forecasters say total snow accumulations of 7 to 10 inches is possible.

Travel could be very difficult late this evening into Tuesday morning with the greatest impacts likely seen Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are expected through late tonight. Gusty winds may cause patchy blowing snow, especially in rural areas.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
