ANGOLA, IN - An iconic fire service professional who served Angola, Steuben County, and the tri/state region has passed away.
The Angola Fire Department announced the passing of Dale "Bud" Grogg. Grogg joined the AFD on January 11, 1993 and served around thirteen years with the department. He severed in many areas, but mostly as the Public Information Officer.
Area fire fighters have already spoken their personal grievances concerning this loss, many crediting Grogg with their own success, and saying “he always had a good story to tell”.
Grogg was also a retired State Fire Marshal for the State of Indiana.
