INDIANAPOLIS - A bill has been proposed in the Indiana Senate to raise Indiana's minimum wage to $10 per hour.
The Hoosier state's minimum wage currently is set at $7.25 and has not been changed since 2009. For 2021, 20 states across the nation increased it's minimum wage, including the Hoosier state's neighbors to the east Ohio.
With the proposed legislation Indiana's minimum wage will go up to $10. For each following year, a dollar would be added until the minimum wage reaches $15.
The bill is still in its early stages.
