FREMONT, IN - A man was found dead after his pick-up crashed sometime Monday Night.

A Steuben County Sheriff's Department report said a deputy on routine patrol noticed a silver Ford F-150 pick-up truck in a field on the west side of State Road 827 north of County Road 300 East in Steuben County's rural Fremont Township. The deputy checked the vehicle and found that it had
been involved in a crash.

The preliminary crash investigation indicated that the driver, identified as 42 year old Antonio R. Wright of Angola, was traveling north on State Road 827 when for an unknown reason, the vehicle went off the eastside of the roadway. Reports indicate Wright overcorrected the vehicle causing the vehicle to go off the west side of the roadway and roll over several times before coming to rest in the field.

Wright was ejected from the vehicle and found in the field, deceased at the scene.

Investigators say it did not appear Wright was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff's Office.

Assisting the Steuben County Sheriff's Office at the scene were the Indiana State Police, Steuben County EMS, Fremont Fire Department, and the Steuben County Coroner's Office.
