INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indiana’s top officials said they continue to have concern over the recent increases in positive coronavirus cases and hospitalizations.

Indiana State Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box returned in person with Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb during this week’s coronavirus briefing. Dr. Box said she is concerned about elderly people, especially those in long-term care facilities who are at greater risk for COVID-19 complications.

Dr. Box herself has recovered from COVID-19.

During Wednesday’s briefing Dr. Box said the federal government's vaccine coordinators told her office to expect some doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by late November and possibly second shipment in December.
