HOWE, IN - An iconic and historic landmark in Northeast Indiana has a new owner, as remaining board members of the Howe Academy have announced the sale of their property.

The New York-based World Olivet Assembly, an evangelical Christian denomination, purchased the 55.35-acre LaGrange County property. The existing campus is equipped with many amenities, including a chapel, student residences, dining hall facilities, administration offices, academic classrooms, and recreational facilities. At full capacity, 400 students can be accommodated, as well as faculty and staff.

Insiders say the campus will be used as educational facilities for World Olivet Assembly, which owns additional properties across the country. They also plan to move forward with maintenance and campus enhancement projects.

World Olivet Assembly is aiming for a 2020-21 start date, once the necessary authorizations are finalized, including COVID-19-related approvals for educational institutions.
