Crews from NIPSCO are continuing to try and restore power to those who saw the lights go out on Wednesday during the string of storms that rushed through the region late that afternoon.
In a statement from Dana Berkes, Public Affairs Manager for NIPSCO she said, "Crews are making even better progress." and that they "plan to make significant progress throughout today."
Areas that are expected to see power restored by today include Fremont, Corunna, Howe, and LaGrange while areas like Angola, Ashley, Hamilton, Hudson, Orland, Waterloo, and Wolcotville were scheduled to have power restored throughout the day on Thursday.
Berkes stated that NIPSCO wanted to thank their customers for their patience and understanding as work on power restoration continues.
