Hit Skip Vehicle Crash in Steuben County Leaves Fremont Man in Critical Condition

The Indiana State Police are actively investigating a hit skip vehicle crash that involved a pedestrian early Thursday Morning in rural Steuben County.

At approximately 2:24 AM Thursday morning, the Indiana State Police responded to a Steuben County dispatch advising of a possible vehicle crash on State Route 120 east of the Town of Orland. Near the area of State Route 120 and County Road 900 West, Troopers located a severely injured adult male pedestrian and medical assistance was immediately summoned to the scene.

The victim, identified as Brandon Holt, age 37 of Fremont, was subsequently flown to Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, last listed in critical condition.

Police are actively investigating this incident as a vehicle leaving the scene of a serious bodily injury crash. Investigators are following up on a possible suspect driver and vehicle information obtained.
