As the window for candidates to begin filling to run in the 2020 election, one Steuben County Council at Large member is already hard at work on the campaign trail, as council member Dan Caruso cites how things have changed when he first ran 8 years ago.
In a statement released by Caruso, he discussed the initial challenges that were to be faced when he first ran, and how he hoped to best serve the community. Caruso discussed that he feels "very humbled to work with such a dedicated and intelligent group of people" that work not only on County Council, but in Steuben County Government collectively.
Caruso also discussed that his platform remains the same now as it did when he first ran, citing that it is important to better work for the community and play to all of it’s strengths through collaboration and unselfishness.
Caruso also cites that members of council lead while listening to the citizens of the area, and that he truly enjoys serving the community.
