After going missing for quite some time, "Bix The Bison" was finally recovered. The statue that is synonymous with the city of Kendallville was found just outside of Garrett on Monday by local authorities.
Unfortunately, the recovery of the landmark did indicate that some of the legendary artwork on the bison statue has been damaged and officials from the city of Kendallville are still trying to determine if the damage can be fixed, as a local artist is responsible for the original artwork.
Anyone with information about the damage, or theft of Bix is being asked to please contact the Kendallville Police Department.
