Students aged 13-18 have a great opportunity to learn about how government at the state level works during the 2020 legislative
session.

House lawmakers are encouraging Hoosier students interested in state government to participate in the Indiana House Page Program during the upcoming 2020 legislative session. Students ages 13 to 18 can spend a day at the Statehouse in Indianapolis assisting House legislators and staff, and touring facilities like the governor’s office, the Indiana Supreme Court and the House and Senate Chambers. State Representative Martin Carbough of Fort Wayne says through this program, students get a unique glimpse of how laws are made.

While spending a day at the statehouse in Indianapolis, Pages visit with
lawmakers, tour the statehouse and assist staff.

Paging is an excused absense from school and groups can particpate together. Visit usually take place on Mondays, Tuesday, and Thursday
with larger groups visiting Wednesdays.
