Light lake effect snow is expected for much of the early morning today, which is leaving some area roadways slick in some places. Accompanied with extremely cold temperatures and high temperatures for the day expected only to be in the low 20 degree range, morning commutes from school and work could be impacted.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow showers could be expected until late morning then yielding to mostly sunny skies for the duration of the afternoon. However, a mild warm-up is expected for the remainder of the work week with high temperatures reaching up into the mid 30s with mostly sunny skies expected Thursday, with temperatures getting into possibly the low 40s for Friday and into the weekend also accompanied with mostly sunny skies.
