Angola Common Council swears in new Police Sergeant

The Angola Common Council heard several reports on Monday evening.

Common Council opened their meeting by swearing in Police Sergeant Brandon Booth. Booth will serve the night shift for the Angola Police Department. Council approved an ordinance which will vacate University Avenue and a portion of Gale Street on the Trine University campus. The streets will not close but will become University property. Council approved a tax deduction for the installation of new manufacturing equipment for Univertical LLC and Humane Shelter Executive Director Alisa Mills gave a report on the Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County. Council approved $32,300 for services at the Humane Shelter. The shelter took in 286 animals in 2019.

The Angola Common Council will meet again on Monday, January 6, 2019 at 7 P.M. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
