Cooler temperatures appear that they are here to stay across the tri-state region, with a chance of snow in the forecast for tonight and into Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, a small chance of snow showers is in the forecast for this afternoon primarily closer to sunset with overnight lows dipping down into the mid 20s in some areas.

For Friday, mostly sunny conditions can be expected with highs barely getting up into the mid 30 degree range, before a minor warm-up for this weekend. While highs will mainly reach into the low to mid 40s, conditions appear as if they will remain dry with partly cloudy skies expected for Saturday and Sunday.
